Late Edition · The Rules, Printed In Full
How to Play
Lie convincingly · Spot the truth
A bluff-trivia bombshell. Every round serves one weird-but-true fill-in-the-blank — write a fake answer convincing enough to fool the room, then hunt the real truth hidden among everyone's lies.
3–12 players · 6 rounds + a double-points finale
A round, edition by edition
1. Read the bombshell
Every round prints one verified weird-but-true fill-in-the-blank fact. You see the question — but never the real answer.
2. File your lie
Blindly write a fake answer convincing enough to pass for the truth. Everyone files in secret, so you're guessing what will fool the room.
3. Hunt the truth
The real answer is slipped in among all the lies and the pool is shuffled. Vote for the one you think is true — you can't vote for your own.
4. The reveal
The truth is stamped, every lie's author is exposed, and you see exactly who fell for your fake. Points are tallied and the next edition goes to press.
- +500Fool a player — every other player who votes for your lie hands you 500 points. Fool the whole room and the points stack up fast.
- +1000Find the truth — spot the real answer in the pool and pocket 1,000 points.
- +1000Lie equals truth — if your fake happens to match the real answer, you bank a 1,000 point bonus on top.
- ×2The final round — every point in the last of the six rounds counts double. Nothing is decided until the presses stop.
Tips from the newsroom
A great lie sounds like a fact — plausible, specific, in the same flavour as the real answer. Boring lies fool nobody.
Don't write something so wild it screams "fake". You only score when other players actually pick your lie.
When voting, watch for answers that try too hard. The truth is often the dull, believable one.
Save your sharpest bluff for the final round — it scores double, for fooling and for finding the truth.
