How to Play
“One of you missed the briefing.”
A jet-set hidden-location game. Everyone shares one secret destination and a role to play there — except the spy, who’s lost. Ask sharp questions to expose the impostor before the departure clock hits zero, or, as the spy, break cover and guess the location for a bigger win.
4–12 passengers · 1 spy (2 in big rooms) · 6-minute departure clock
A round, gate by gate
1. Boarding the gate
Every passenger is dealt the same secret destination and a private role to play there. Everyone, that is, except the spy — who is lost, sees no destination, and gets only the full list of possible places.
2. Question the cabin
With the departure clock ticking, passengers ask each other pointed questions about the destination. Locals answer like they belong; the spy bluffs to blend in and figure out where everyone is.
3. Accuse & vote
Suspicious? Anyone can call a vote, once per round. The cabin votes on who boarded the wrong gate. A majority decides who gets pulled off the flight.
4. Break cover
At any moment the spy can stop the round and guess the destination from the board. Nail it and they win big; miss it and the locals take the round.
- Locals catch the spy — the cabin votes the spy out+2 each local
- Spy survives the vote — an innocent is voted out instead+3 spy
- Spy guesses right — breaks cover and names the destination+4 spy
- Spy guesses wrong — breaks cover and misses+2 each local
- Spy escapes — the clock runs out with no vote-out+2 spy
Scores stack across rounds. The host ends the session to record the final standings on the leaderboard.
Frequent-flyer tips
Ask questions only a true local could answer well — but not so specific you hand the spy the destination.
If you're the spy, listen for the destination before you talk, then echo the cabin's vibe. Break cover only when you're confident.
Don't sit on a vote. The clock favours the spy — let it run out and they escape clean.
A wrong vote-out is a gift to the spy. Build a case out loud before you board anyone off the flight.
